Dr. Ted Brown provides comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations, checking for both cataracts and glaucoma. He has considerable experience in eye care for adults and children. In 1999 he started Uptown Eyecare, a practice dedicated to offering superior service with a great selection of designer frames.
Dr. Brown graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1987. He worked as a CPA for several years before going to optometry school. He graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1995.
To stay cutting edge Dr. Brown dedicates himself to a continuing medical education program. He has volunteered for a medical mission trip to provide eye care to the needy. He did clinical research related to contact lens and dry eyes. He is a member of the New Orleans Contacts Lens Society, an eye care provider for Tulane athletics, and a past board member for WRBH Radio for the Blind.
Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family. He has a daughter at Sacred Heart and a son at St. Georges. He enjoys dining with friends and traveling. He is also a member at Trinity Episcopal Church.
